Updating exchange certificate
It allows OOS to retrieve documents from the Exchange store, and for Exchange to properly authenticate a user session with OOS.
The Auth certificate is generated automatically when you first install Exchange 2013 or 2016.
You can also click view certificates to view details of the certificate.
Replace your domain name with the correct name for your environment.
For simplicity, it is recommended to install same certificate. mail.domain name will be used by both internal and external users. Under Group or user names, click Edit button to change permission. You can see there are three default certificates already created. WMSVC is a self-signed certificate and is necessary for remote management of web server. We want to install a public certificate not self-signed certificate.
For autodiscover service, autodiscover.domain name will be used. Click Add add to add Exchange Trusted Subsystem group. Choose create a request for a certificate from a certification authority option.
To view the Auth Certificate from Exchange server: This command shows the thumbprint of the certificate used for this purpose.
If the command does not return a thumbprint, no problem – this post will walk you through generating a new one.
